What am I

It is my belief that people are principally a product of their environment; in contrast to many of my friends who believe that they are primarily products of their genetics. They contrast themselves with older family member and are usually saying “ She’s just like Uncle Bob, he was only interested in himself, too.” While my tendency is to say “People from Brooklyn are like that.” Without any question there are things that are genetic – my appearance is very similar to my mother’s, and three of my family members (including myself) have had temperal arteritis. My aunts and mother used to say things about the ‘Goodstein Pride’, by which they meant that you always had to do for others rather than let them do for you. My Aunt Adele still says that she has to so much food that there is some of everything left over. She maintains that she learned that from her mother, my grandmother. Genetic or learned?
