Snow is here, big glistening flakes.

The ground is white, smooth and peaceful.

No sun, but a world that’s shining bright.

I take this glory within me.

The clouds press down,

Their grayness discourages me.

I look around for some sign of joy.

A mourning dove calls out, its song uplifts me.

Walk through the woods

I smell the pines round me.

The wet earth sucks me inside it.

I waken to my surroundings

The world, sun, clouds, wind and earth

I own them all, as they own me.

Nature, all parts of our world

I can’t deny what makes me what I am.
